Živou i reprodukovanou hudbu, projekce dokumentů, výstavy fotografií, infostánky i ochutnávky veganských dobrot pod jednou střechou slibuje benefiční koncert iniciativy Veggie Parade. Ve čtvrtek 25. března od 19:00 si tak v pražském klubu Cross přijdou na své doslova všechny smyslové buňky.
Ty sluchové potěší písničkář a dlouholetý vegetarián Jan Burian, kapely Hissing Fauna, Fidibus, Peeni Walli či řada DJs na druhé, převážně dubstepové stagei – Matt, Lulu Rulez + MC Vaant, DJane Orea a další. V rámci filmových projekcí s tematikou ochrany zvířat budou k vidění kromě snímků Behind the Mask a Arktický příběh i autorská videa dlouholetého aktivisty Michala Kolesára, který tu též vystoupí s přednáškou O zmrzačených křídlech. Možnost vyslechnout si naživo zkušenosti tohoto výrazného aktivisty je přitom poměrně vzácná.
Vedle výstavy fotografií a obrazů nebudou pochopitelně chybět ani informační stánky, a to od sdružení Svoboda zvířat, Otevři Oči, Greenpeace, Wakitaka a Veggie Parade. Důkazem, že veganská strava je nejen ohleduplná a zdravá, ale také chutná, pak bude jídlo a cukroví z kuchyně pořádající iniciativy a také Food not Bombs.
Výtěžek koncertu poslouží k financování druhého ročníku pochodu Prahou – Veggie Parade, který se uskuteční 15. května 2010. Jeho organizátoři jím chtějí širokou veřejnost uvědomit o právech a možnostech ochrany zvířat, která mají v dnešní společnosti status pouhého zboží, a propagovat vegetariánství a veganství jako zdravý a zodpovědný životní styl. Live and recorded music, documentaries, photo exhibitions, and info stands as well as tasting of vegan delicacies under one roof are promised at Veggie Parade Initiative’s Benefit Concert. On Thursday, 25 March from 19.00, virtually all sense cells shall have their field day at Cross Club in Prague.
Those auditory ones shall be comforted by songwriter and long-time vegetarian Jan Burian, bands such as Hissing Fauna, Fidibus, Peene Walli and a number of DJ’s at mostly dub-step and jungle stage – Matt, Lulu Rulez + MC Vaant, DJane Orea and more. Within the film screenings with the theme of animal protection, visitors may watch in addition to films Behind the Mask and the Arctic story and author videos by the long-time activist Michal Kolesar, who will also give a presentation “The Crippled Wings”. An opportunity to listen live to the experience of this significant activist is rather a rare one.
In addition to the exhibitions of photographs and paintings, there will obviously be information stands by associations Svoboda zvirat, Otevri Oci, Greenpeace, Wakitaka and Veggie Parade. The proof that the vegan diet is not only respectful and healthy but also tasty will then be the food and sweets from the kitchen of the organizing initiative and Food not Bombs as well.
The concert proceeds will be used to finance the 2nd march through Prague – Veggie Parade, which shall take place on 15 May 2010. Thereby, its organizers want it to inform the general public about the rights and possibilities for protection of animal, which nowadays share the status of mere goods, and to promote vegetarianism and veganism as healthy and responsible lifestyles.
